This workflow is for anyone needing quick, detailed research reports, like business analysts, students, or researchers. It is great for staying updated on topics.
This workflow automatically creates a detailed research report on any given topic. It gathers information from news, Wikipedia, and academic sources, then compiles it into a professional PDF. Finally, it sends the report via email and Telegram.
Users must set up API keys for NewsAPI, SerpApi, Perplexity AI, Google Custom Search, and PDFShift. They also need to configure their Gmail account and specify the recipient email and Telegram chat ID. It requires a Google Sheet setup for storing research metadata.
API keys for NewsAPI, SerpApi, Perplexity AI, Google Custom Search, and PDFShift. A Gmail account with API enabled and a Telegram account with a bot configured for sending messages are also necessary.
You can change the research topic, refine the AI agent's system prompt, and modify the HTML template for the PDF report. You can also adjust the email content and add more communication channels like Slack or WhatsApp.

Automation Value: Saves Time: Automates the entire research and report generation process, from information gathering to delivery. Increases Efficiency: Quickly generates comprehensive reports, allowing users to focus on analysis rather than data collection. Ensures Consistency: Provides a standardized report format and data collection method. Boosts Productivity: Delivers timely updates on chosen topics, aiding in informed decision-making.
Best Practices: API Key Security: Store all API keys securely using n8n credentials. Error Handling: Implement reliable error handling for API calls for production-ready workflows. Modular Design: Break down complex workflows into smaller, manageable sub-workflows or functions for better readability and maintenance. Rate Limiting: Be mindful of API rate limits, especially for external services like Google Search, NewsAPI, and Perplexity AI.
